At the Tait this year we had 3 successful Graduates from the Limerick Institute of Technology. These were Barbara Hanley, Brian McNamara and Josephine Mulqueen. The course they completed was a Certificate in Leadership and Advocacy.
The aim of this course is to develop leadership and advocacy skills in people who have an intellectual disability. This programme is a good choice for those who want to further their understanding of basic human rights and who want to develop their skills in a safe classroom environment. The course was delivered on a one-day-a-week basis over 14 weeks. The participants had a full day on campus in LIT and took part in the graduation service too.
