Rehabilitative Training Graduation 2010 by Sarah Madden

On Wednesday the 14th of July 2010 4 trainees, Paul Roche, James Hannon, Brian Ridgway and myself, Sarah MaddenԚÂ   graduated from the RehabilitativeԚÂ   Training Programme at the Training Centre in Lisnagry.

Our Graduation ceremony was held in the Daghdha Centre, Johnà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢s Square, Limerick. All of us made speeches to a gathering of our families, friends, invited guests and Staff.

Each of us were presented with a framed certificate of Achievement by our Trainers in the Training Enterprise Employment Services. I got mine from Anne Finegan. Brian progressed to the Woodwork and I to Mulcair Designs, Sheltered Occupational Service in the Training Centre, Lisnagry. Paul and James commenced a 5th year RehabilitativeԚÂ   Training at the Training Centre here in Lisnagry.

Highlight of the yearfor Colin Bennis was watching Ireland in Rugby winning the Triple Crown and the Grand Slam Favourite player Ronan O Gara.

Highlight of the year for Danny Duffy was going see Munster beating Australia in Thomond Park. Favourite play is Peter Stringer.

Highlights of the Year for Fergal Enright was receiving a Certificate in Leadership and Self Advocacy .Fergal Attended the course on Friday each week for 14 weeks. The Certificate was presented to Fergal by Kieran Oà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢Donnell TD. All Fergalà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢s Friends in the were invited to the Castle Oaks House Hotel by the Enright Family to a celebration meal. Fergal also had a surprise party at home with Neighbours and Friends. Congratulations!!

Highlights of the year for Stephen Oà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢Connell was watching Ireland win the rugby Grand Slam and the Triple Crown.

Highlights of the year for Sean Shea was the wedding of his Brother, Joseph to Jean and being asked to be the Best Man. The wedding took place in Blarney, Co. Cork.

Highlight of the year for James McLoughlin was calling into the Castletroy Park Hotel after spotting John Hayes. We went over to him and John said to James à ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã…”Youà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã¢”ž ¢re the lad from Rearcrossà ¢Ã¢”š ¬Ã‚ !! James was delighted.
